Hello and thanks for visiting my food blog. Cooking is something I have always enjoyed doing. I love the creativity of being able to let your mind and palate wander into places they haven’t gone before… finding that perfect taste and sharing it with family and friends. This blog has been a labor of love, to try and capture some of those moments when all the right tastes come together. I hope you enjoy reading it and find some recipes that inspire you to get into the kitchen!
I’m a vegetarian, or to be more exact… a Pescetarian. My two boys and husband are carnivores. This means that many of our meals require some planning.
My goal is to cook wholesome, natural, healthy meals every week night. Once in a while, I will create a dessert or dish that is just fun to make and eat. It’s all about moderation right? The recipes that I share have been either passed down through my family or adapted and inspired by cookbooks, blogs or friends.
You’ll notice that I add spices to most of the things I cook and bake. These spices elevate the flavor of the food, but they also deliver many wonderful health benefits…something I learned while growing up and cooking with my mother. Because I love these flavors so much, a few years ago I developed my own line of spice blends. I use a local commercial kitchen to mix and package these recipes, adapted from those handed down through my family for generations.
